Today, I’m off to celebrate this special holiday (4th of July) with my special family from Rhode Island and Massachusetts (and one special cousin from CT). I am there to not only enjoy my family but to honor my Uncle who retired after 20+ years from the Navy.
Today is a day we need to honor those who sacrificed their life for the fight for the freedom of our Country. That freedom is just a breath away as it can be taken from us easily. There are politicians trying to bring our Country down the path of communism. (Don’t take this lightly).
As we honor those who served, we need to understand that we also have a part to play as well. It’s not all in their laps. How?
- Well for one, do you vote (locally and federally)? If you don’t, could you be dishonoring those who fought the fight. I don’t know about your family, but my dad fought in Normandy, and I would not dishonor him by not voting.
- Do you keep up on what is happening in the Government (both local and federal)?
- Do you rely on understanding what is happening in our Government/Country from mainstream media? Consider finding other venues. They are out there.
- Grow an appreciation and love for this Country.
- Place God in your heart and appreciate His Hand over the USA.
