Sometimes when life is spinning faster than a merry-go-round and we can’t even jump off, we desire to know what is going on and what the purpose of our life is. We wonder if we were walking in our purpose, would things be so chaotic? Take a listen to this podcast and I will ask you two questions for you to take to your Heavenly Father to receive his answer. That will help place you in a position of rest, peace and love.
Welcome, friends to my Podcast Giving You a Fresh Start After Trauma! It’s a new day for a fresh start no matter what time of the day you are listening to this message. Today, I have something special for you so let’s jump right in.
“I’d Prefer to Read Your Message!”
Have you ever asked the question, “Why was I born” or “For what purpose was I placed on this earth?” Some people don’t care to ask that question nor care to have an answer as they go about their life doing what they want when they want. And that’s ok if they feel peace about that position.
But for others when life seems to be overwhelming and things don’t seem to be panning out in a positive way, we tend to question things and ask the meaning of our life, and we can even get to a point where we ask the above questions.
These questions can have a more purposeful meaning especially if there are people in your life who hold you of no value. Perhaps they pummel you or constantly berate you. They judge you for who you are and even walk away from having a relationship with you. You have gotten to the point where you don’t even value yourself which is a tragedy.
Not too long ago I was reading the book that my writing teacher, Loral, wrote about her life. I love reading about other people’s life and the obstacles they went through and especially how God got them to victory. It’s very encouraging to hear how others came out the other side of their troubling problems.
She asked the Father two questions!
One day Loral, in her healing journey, asked the Father two questions. When she shared those questions AND the answer she got, it caused me to want to do the same. I don’t know about you, but when I must answer a question that will take a lot of taught, I get frustrated and many times move on because the answer is not coming quick enough. It’s frustrating because I don’t get the answer or clarity in a timely fashion and I find it discouraging. I lose patience and for some reason I don’t push through and I just give up.
Well not the day I was reading Loral’s book. I felt prompted to ask myself the same questions and as I wrote them in my journal, the answer was flowing to me.
If you are in a place wondering why you were placed here on earth, then take some time, meditate on these two questions and let the Father answer you. One day when we stand before the Father (and we all will whether you believe that or not), wouldn’t it be nice to hear “Well done good and faithful servant?”
So, if you are willing … here are the questions.
God, how do you love me?
What were You thinking Father when you created me?
Let me share with you my answers as I take you into my private writing. Now mind you I have never had God answer me so quickly with such precision in my life. It was extremely healing for me.
My reason for sharing this is to give you a picture of what the Father said about me but understand, He is no respecter of persons and in no way am I special. For much of my life I’ve had such a low image of myself that my Father had to jolt me with His truth. It was like He was trying to wake me up. I know He has some beautiful things to say about you and has an intense love for you.
So here are the questions and my answers.
God, how do you love me?
I love you with an everlasting love. I love you beyond what you can see. My heart flutters when you choose to spend time with me. I love you so much that I created your love for beauty. If I could give you every flower in the universe, I would. I want you to connect with my love so you can give that love to others AND know when you are receiving Godly love.
This was so powerful and so moving that I was excited to ask Him the second question.
What were You thinking Father when you created me?
I was thinking that I just created a masterpiece perfect in every way. I was thinking that everything about you is who I want you to be. You were created for boldness, strength, courage, kindness, love and creative power. I created you for greatness and the ability to create and walk in the path I’ve designed you for. But that greatness does not need to be recognized worldwide. It’s between you and Me.
For all the wounding, rejection, and judgments that have been held against me, do not matter any longer. When you know the Father has a deep love and approval of who He created you to be, nothing else matters. Other people’s judgment and criticism fall by the wayside.
How about you? Can you take some time and ask these same two questions to the Father? Don’t let your woundings, insecurities, emotional pain, criticisms and judgments from others hold you back. When He speaks His powerful Words to you, you will be free.
So, grab a journal, write down those two questions.
After you written those two questions down, then get quiet and wait to hear the Father’s reply. Remember, His voice is usually that still small voice. He doesn’t shout or scream but speaks to you in a peaceful but powerful way.
Let God speak to you.
