“I’d Prefer to Read Your Message!”
Hello friends. Welcome to my Podcast Giving You a Fresh Start After Trauma. Spring is here and things are blossoming. How about you? Would you like to blossom? Then let’s get started.
Many people these days are dealing with complicated issues in their life such as sickness, stress, anxiety, depression, confusion, dealing with trauma or in a lot of physical pain. Finding the root to any of these issues is of utmost importance. Just putting a band-aid on it will take care of it for a brief moment but not long term.
I have something to share!
I have something to share that I believe will shed some light on life’s issues … no matter what they are. You may not be a believer or follower or Christ but bear with me here and take a few minutes to just read what I have to share. It might change your life.
You might wonder what the representation of the branch, the vine and the farmer is. Well, we are the branch, Jesus is the vine and the Father is the Farmer. It is the job of the farmer or Father to lift any branches that may be lying down. He also is the one that does the pruning so the branch can bare much fruit.
When life seems to be full of distresses, it could be because you are “lying down” on the ground per se and if the ‘farmer’ does not come and lift you up, you eventually will break away from the vine. The vine is our life source.
If the branch or yourself completely break away, life or your issues will cause you to spiral down even further because you have broken away from your life source.

Just like in this picture.
The “farmer” or the owner knew that the branches to the vines that were planted needed to be held up so the branches didn’t break away. Hence, they installed a fence. The fence will keep the branches sturdy to the vine.
What is your fence? Are you still connected to the vine or are you weakening and lying on the ground?
The Farmer/Father wants to lift you up. As you are lying on the ground, He will come and lift you to the vine so that you don’t break away.
“I am a true sprouting vine, and the farmer who tends the vine is my Father. He cares for the branches connected to me by lifting and propping up the fruitless branches and pruning every fruitful branch to yield a greater harvest.” John 15:1-2 The Passion Translation TPT
Now the serious part is if you choose to not accept being lifted back up to the vine, then you will eventually break away and be disconnected to the vine or your life source.
“The words I have spoken over you have already cleansed you. So you must remain in life-union with me, for I remain in life-union with you. For as a branch severed from the vine will not bear fruit, so your life will be fruitless unless you live your life intimately joined to mine.” John 15:3-4 The Passion Translation TPT
It is then that you become powerless or fruitless, and the Father will gather you up and you will be discarded. Think about going in your back yard after the winter is over. You go and pick up all the branches that are lying on the ground. They are dead and of no use. They cannot be “reconnected to the vine or the tree” so you discard them. Right now, my yard has a number of branches that need to be picked up and discarded. Fortunately, I had tree trimming done in my yard last fall so the branches lying on the ground are minimal.
The Word says,
“I am the sprouting vine and you’re my branches. As you live in union with me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you – but when you live separated from me you are powerless. If a person is separated from me, he is discarded; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire to be burned.” John 15:5-6 The Passion Translation TPT
Could your troubling issues be because you are lying on the ground and need to be lifted up or have you broken away fully from the vine. If you are lying on the ground, let the Father lift you up so you are not straining and close to being severed. But the Father won’t overstep your boundary if you aren’t interested in being lifted up. He’ll only help if you want Him to.
If you have totally broken away, unlike a broken branch from an actual tree or vine that will be discarded, you can reconnect to the vine, your life source. Don’t do life on your own. It’s so much easier being connected to the vine.
The Farmer/Father
The Farmer or the Father is loving, caring, protective and powerful. If you’ve had a difficult life with an earthly father, don’t compare the Father in Heaven with Him. There is no comparison. He won’t harm you but protect you. He won’t berate you but love on you. Will he correct you? Of course He will. What loving Father wouldn’t do that.
Think about your life circumstances right now and if you are lying on the ground, let Him lift you up. If you’ve broken away, then reconnect to the vine … the spiritual vine.
Be blessed and encouraged.
