How is your physical activity going? Were you able to make changes or implement a new program in your weekly regime? I pray so … and if you haven’t, it’s never too late to start. If you start and then stop, that’s ok. Pick it up and start again.
This week I want to discuss the area of spirituality. This is the last area of what is considered “primary foods.” Remember Primary Foods are your career, your relationships, your physical activity and now your spirituality.
Why is having a spiritual life important?
For one we are truly spiritual beings. Secondly, having a spiritual relationship and knowing that there is someone greater than yourself is important to your emotional well-being. When life is hard and overwhelming, knowing that there is someone greater than you that protects you, provides for you, heals you and guides you can give you the peace you need to walk through your circumstance.
For me I always had God in my life.
I grew up in a “religious” home and followed a “religious” denomination. In my teens, I left the denomination but really never left God. He was on the “back burner” of my life though. He was there when life got desperate and problematic. But was not part of my daily life. In my mid-thirties that changed. My life was mess, and I didn’t know what to do. It was then that I decided to truly have a relationship with not the “universe” but the God that not only created the Universe, but created me. My life has not been the same.
I hope you spend some time contemplating this part of your Circle of Life and if you do not have one, that you consider adding that as part of your healthy lifestyle. If you would like to chat with me about my relationship with Christ, please reach out. I’d love to talk with you, pray with you and encourage you.
You are loved by the God of the Universe and He truly wants to have a relationship with you. Let’s talk so I can share my spiritual life with you!
