stress

As a follow-up to my prior Blog posts about stress, I want to offer you a “breathing” strategy that could help you calm you Sympathetic Nervous System.  Remember your Sympathetic Nervous System is that “fight or flight mode.”  Great mode to be in if you are in danger.  But when life around you are calm, this is not a healthy place to stay.

What is that strategy for releasing anxiety in your body?

Breathe

When you are stressed and anxious, your breathing tends to be shallower.  Taking deep breaths … slowly … can help your Sympathetic Nervous System and move you into the Parasympathetic Nervous System.  Take time to really stop what you are doing and take deep breaths for 5 minutes at a time.

Here’s a Breathing Plan that could help you release that anxiety in your life.
