Do you know what gluten is and how it’s created? Is it really the “gluten” in our flour that is causing health problems with individuals or is it the “supposed” wheat you are eating? This topic is growing more and more each year as more companies are making “gluten free” products and it is becoming a big profitable industry.

It’s been years now that I will only eat organic wheat, and I have to say I don’t have issues. But since my “niece in love” recommended I follow this Podcast; I will soon begin milling my own wheat berries. Why? Here are a few reasons:
- So many people who began milling their own wheat berries have had major health changes for the good. Sue Becker is interviewing them all the time.
- Because the “bran” and the “germ” part of the wheat has been removed, it now is an unhealthy flour whether it’s organic or conventional.
- The bran has the fiber, minerals, vitamins, and enzymes and the germ has all the fatty acids and oils which are essential to our health. Sadly, they are removed. Watch the video to find out why.
- Since the removal of the bran and the germ, people now struggle with health issues that get blamed on the gluten.
- When you remove the brain and the germ all you have is protein and starch. So, the bread we eat no longer has the fiber, minerals, vitamins, etc … all the important nutrients.
- People’s health issues are blamed on the gluten when it’s really the processed flour.
You must ask if this was a way to create another profitable industry?
You know that the “low fat” industry was started years ago by the sugar industry. They started saying that the fat in food was unhealthy for people so what was created? Low fat food. Well, when you take the fat out of food it becomes tasteless. Hence, they added sugar. The truth is we need fat, but it must be healthy fat. Our brain needs fat. Our cells need fat but since all fat has been demonized and removed from food, we now have an issue with obesity, diabetes, heart disease and cancers. Could it be because our cells are not healthy?
I always say eat food they way God created it in its natural form. Don’t replace butter with margarine. Don’t drink low fat milk. Stop the low-fat yogurts or anything else you are eating that is low fat. Your body needs fat.
But back to wheat. My plan is to buy a mill and start milling wheat berries so I can get the wholeness of wheat and not just the protein and starch. Consider watching this video. It’s about 35 minutes long but well worth the education.

- Wheat is not GMO’d. (This surprised me.)

- Wheat is now being demonized and doesn’t need to be. What needs to be demonized is the removal of the bran and the germ.
