I’D Prefer to Read Your Message!

Hi friends Regina Sanchez here your Spiritual Life & Health Coach welcoming you to my Podcast, Giving You a Fresh Start After Trauma.  I’m glad you are here and hope this message blesses you.  Let’s get started.

Today I want to talk with you about “where you place your faith.”  If you are a believer and follower of Christ, I hope it’s in Him.  If you are not, I pray that you consider letting Him into your life.  He is the one that created you, loves you and knows what’s best for you.

Right now, it seems that many people are dealing with some pretty tough dis-eases.  As they try to heal and have faith in that healing, it got me to thinking that we cannot wait until tragedy comes upon us (no matter what type of tragedy) to grow our faith.  If you wait until then, your battle will be that much harder and being at rest (God’s rest) and peace (God’s peace) will almost be impossible.

Wisdom from Jordon Rubin

Years ago, I saw this statement from Jordon Rubin, and it caused me to pause and really think about it.  I had to keep it for future writing.  I think it lines up perfectly with what I’m sharing with you today.

“All of them made promises they couldn’t keep.  I’m not saying their claims were hogwash.  I’m sure they believed in their work.  But my willingness to believe them and put all my faith in them demonstrates what people who are desperately ill go through.” Jordon Rubin from Restoring Your Digestive Health.

Jordon was very sick, and no one could figure out what was wrong.  This was back in the 90’s.  His weight went down to 111 pounds from about 180 pounds.  He asked his mom to take a picture of him at that point, and she asked why.  His response was, “Because no one will believe me when I get well.  No one will ever believe that I was this sick.  I’m getting out of bed, and I need you to take my picture.”  She did.  (Note:  You can read about Jordon’s journey in his book The Maker’s Diet.)

Jordon went from doctor to doctor but to no avail.

But one thing he did not give up on was his faith that God wanted him well.  Jordon stood on that faith.  Eventually after trying many traditional doctors, his is father sent him out to Germany hoping to find answers.  Eventually it was shown that Jordon had Crohn’s disease.  And just like our God who knows what’s wrong and what to do, Jordon’s father was directed to send him a bag of black powder that looked like dirt.  His father asked him to take it.  Hesitantly, Jordon did but he was tired of all the medical recommendations.  The beautiful thing was he began to get well.

What was that bag of dirt?

It was a special type of probiotic or friendly bacteria.  It contained healthy compounds from healthy soil.    Sadly, these healthy microorganisms have been wiped out of our soils from pesticides, herbicides, fungicides and synthetic fertilizers.  Jordon completely changed his diet and began taking this “black dirt.”  Initially he felt worse as his body was causing an effect called “die-off” which is the body purging itself of toxins.

Jordon’s day consisted of praying, listening to music, and planning his daily “medicine food.”  (Remember food is medicine).  In 40 days, he gained 29 pounds and began to feel life again.  He said that Psalm 30 was his favorite reading, and the truth of those words began to come to life.

Psalm 30

I will extol You, O Lord, for You have lifted me up and have not let my foes rejoice over me.  O Lord my God, I cried to You and You have healed me. O Lord, You have brought my life up from Sheol (the place of the dead); You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit (the grave).

You have turned my mourning into dancing for me; You have put off my sackcloth and girded me with gladness,  To the end that my tongue and my heart and everything glorious within me may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever. Psalm 30:1-3, 11-12 The Amplified Bible, AMP

Once Jordon was fully healed, he went on to create the supplement company called The Garden of Life.

What’s my point in sharing Jordon’s story?

His message resonated with me.

Yes, our Traditional Medical industry tries to get us well and most have the best intentions. But when you are sick, your faith much of the time shifts from faith in God who formed you and knew you before He put you in your mother’s womb, to doctors and medicine (and much of that medicine is toxic).

Our faith must be developed now!

I began to realize that our faith must be strong now before any tragedy should come upon us.  Those tragedies could be health, but they also could be provision, jobs, death of loved one etc.  Be sure you know where your faith lies so if you have an attack of any kind, you will know how to stand strong and hold onto the promises of what God’s Word says and not what your circumstance is telling you or the bleak reports you may get from your Doctor.

Did this message encourages you or do you need help growing your faith?  I would be happy to walk you in love to that place of greater faith.  As a coach, I NEVER charge to help someone grow in their faith and relationship with the Lord.

Blessings and love,

Your Spiritual Life & Health Coach … believing in you!
