When I was in my full-time organizing mode, I had clients who struggled with letting items go even if they had no need for these items.  Sometimes those items were held onto for:

  • Security
  • A sense of feeling a part of something
  • Not feeling lonely
  • Wanting the memory of the item because they thought if they got rid of the item, the memory would go with it.

I encouraged them to focus on the relationships in their life and not “stuff.”

Is that you?  Are you holding onto items you don’t need, don’t have room for or are causing issues in the family?

Try to get to the root of why you struggle holding onto them and then get your healing if needed.
